I had a great time reading on the sofa with my mother peeling onions in her seat next to mine. My sisters are on the laptops. The cat is hiding behind the TV cabinet. Very much to my delight, I love that moment. I enjoy how time goes by slowly with me enjoying every minute of it. Not rushing through things and having enough "me" time.

I enjoyed walking along Jalan Telawi in Bangsar with Bambina. I used to be the one buying a lot of stuff. But yesterday, I managed to control my temptation. Bambina did a few psychological persuasion. I didn't buy anything. She bought a really nice bag. Then, we spent some time catching up at Starbucks. Something I haven't been doing for a very long time. I wonder what would life be if I haven't taken thi initiative to stop for a drink with my good friend. I think I would miss a lot of beautiful moments. :)

I'm trying to finish reading a long delayed book on the cabinet. It has been a long time since I read novels. Most of the time, I am on the laptop watching some drama and complaining to Darling that I'm bored. I did a hell lot of thinking last night. Trust me... I know what I want in life. All I need is more assurance, a little more confidence and less non-sense in life.

It is time to focus on the positive side of life. Be thankful that my family is with me. Be greatful that I have such a wonderful boyfriend who loves me more than life. Be happy that I have a job waiting for me.

I have cleared my mind.

It was my last day.

The last time I would sit in that chair I have sat for 3 whole years.
The last time I stare at that same computer.
The final time I walk into my workstation and slam my bag.
The final time I stare at Joe's blank workstation because he's always not around.

But it would not be the last time I'll say "hello" to the people I have met throughout my tenure here.

I'll always miss all of you and all of these.

There are so much more for my to look forward in the year 2010. So many things to look into as I move in with life. Various challenges ahead of me as I am aware of it... I have to stand up and look at them in the eye.

I'll fight on.

.... this is definitely not the end.

Life... oh life...

I have more time in my hands now. So much that I need to plan well. Oops.

I know a lot of you out there will kill me for that statement but I do have a lot of time now!!!!!

I went to give my baby car a bath after tonnes of months I could smell the dust on the cushion.

No wonder I kept sneezing everything I enter my car. :S

I felt so refreshed even though I am not the car.

Just to see how these hardworking people vacuum my car makes me feel what my baby car would feel...I bet my car would be so happy that day. wtf.

Anyway, my mom and I went to Jaya Jusco's J Card Member's Day and we bought a whole lot.

Alright, for the first time ever, I bought lesser than RM100 out of more than RM1k which we have spent there in total. The rest of the RM900+ was spent by my mom.

Supermom bought super lots of things for the super cozy house we call home.

hey, it rhymes! :P

BUT best of all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bet my super best buy would be this. I saw one aunty holding this bag up, I knew I had to get it. So I just dashed to the front without looking at anyone (hopefully I didn't step on anyone's feet) and grabbed one of it before another hot babe grab it from the rack.

And you know what!!!!! Out of so many ugly bags on sale, only this bag above and the other bag that aunty had her hands on were pretty. Don't you think it is so cute?!?!?!!

The best part of all, the original retail price was RM89.90 and I got it for only RM26!!!!!!!!

What a bargain!

Then, I asked the pretty salesgirl if they have anything like that in the store room. She claimed that they only ordered two of this design + colour, and I have gotten the last one.

WAHHHH.... sense of accomplishment I tell you!!!!

At that point of time, I felt so proud of myself I think I have a beem of happiness shining through my eyes when I went to mom.

The first thing she asked while going through the big pile of clothing was "cute!!! How much is this bag?! Cheap?!?!"

I said "You wouldn't believe it....RM89.90 and now we are only paying for RM26!"

Her jaw dropped (a little bit) and continued concentrating on going through the big pile of clothing in front of her. wtf.

We went home with a lot of things to carry. I was still thinking of that bag I got...but I didn't know which sister would I pass to. Because it is definitely too cute for me.

.................

.........

....

..

Nevermind, I'll let them fight.

Hahahahahhaaha

Anyway, my mom and sister will be here with me throughout this year-end holidays. I'm a happy girl :)

Oh, here's love from Los Angelas.

My sister said "Your blouse would be Diet Coke"
Me "WHY?! Because I need a diet is it! kanasai (meaning like shit la you in Hokkien)"
My sister "No lahhh....because it looks nice"
Me "ohh oh....okay...thanks...." *shy*

And she bought more OPI nail colours for me :)

And this woman is coming to reunite with the rest of the family very soon.

Leeli, if they call you up, tell them that you have a family emergency. Understand?

;)

JC's Birthday Bash

Last Friday was JC's birthday bash. We have planned this for quite a while, thinking for the perfect venue to have a get-together.

After much discussion, the birthday girl decided to have it at Top Hat Restaurant to commemorate her 25th Birthday. hehe.

I was the one doing arrangements with the restaurants (as usual) and I called in to book a private room since we're quite loud.

I was quite surprised with the room but dislike a few things.

I know I know it looks great. But you know what, I could smell something weird, reminding me of some smelly massage oil. AND, the person in-charge promised me to decorate the table with flowers but it ended up with a few pandan leaves! Plus, I didn't like the malay-traditional inspired thingy for the table arrangements. Blah...

However, the rest of the restaurant was well decorated with beautiful Christmas trees and delicacies.

Adeline, Darling and I were the first few to arrive (as usual) so we took pictures around the little cozy restaurant.

When the crowd arrived, we start catching up. It was when Darling asked JC to close the door :P

Of course, I took a picture with the birthday girl.

Both of us.

This is our group picture without forgetting those who couldn't join us. So, we took the pandan leaves and decided to tag them in FB. :P

We tried to be artistic but I guess we kinda failed.

From left: JC, Adeline, Me and Sharon

These are some of the food we ordered that night! Overall, food was great!

BeeKuan and I ordered Aglio Oglio :)

A few people ordered the chicken pie, which is yummy-licious

Liu ordered the Nyonya dinner set.

For the first time ever, I just love Darling's lamb. It was so yummy I could feel my saliva developing right now. I think I am starting to be addicted to lamb? But I still don't like the smell of how some chefs do it. :P

Then, the waitress came in singing the birthday song. JC said she sang badly that she preffered us singing! -____-

Tiramisu, I guess it is from Alexis :)

We ordered the desserts!

Oh, Darling pampered me with the Alaskan Bomb. And I tell you, it is by far better than the Tiramisu from Alexis. :P

The waitress mistaken the dish and placed it at Felix's place. Here's a shot Darling caught me with the dessert.

Then, JC tried opening the present we bought for her :)

Oh, a classic handphone from Nokia?!?!?!! *this was her expression, trying to sound a tit-bit excited at the same time*

Of course not! You think my friends and I have no taste no heart no brain no fashion sense is it? :P

We explored lomography art. So we all shared a camera for this sweet little girl.

We catched up for a while in our cozy *but smell weird* private room before taking a few memorable shot.

We tried to be funny :P

Bee Kuan aka. MayJune and I were fascinated by the Christmas delicacies on display.

Of course, we had a great time. Our next get-together would be for Wendy's birthday bash coming real soon in December. I have yet to find a venue!!!!!

Wendy wanted to have it beside the beach/out-station and a buffet dinner. Too much to fill in for a venue, don't you think so? Quite a challenge.

Any suggestions, my dear blog readers?

Food For Love

One of the things I cannot live without is the simplicity of ....

Yes, my heart-shaped basin I use in the kitchen. I cannot live without this basin.

... I cannot live without simple food out from my little space in the kitchen! :D

I did this Fruit-Tuna Salad.

Firstly, you'll need mayonnaise.

Fruits of your choice.

Cut the fruits into little bits. Not the big slices as seen above as I took the picture halfway through my cutting :)

Then, prepare the Tuna chunks in olive oil.

Pour them into a bowl and mash them up a little bit. Use a little bit of the olive oil to bring out the taste of tuna.

Put in the fruits and raisins (also cut into small bits) and mix well.

I love to have this with my favourite sandwich bread! :D

Last Friday, both Darling and I didn't know where to have dinner since we failed to book a place for the movie 2012 (*grumbles).

After very much thought, Darling suggested Alexis! Of course, I jumped with glee :)

I love the ambiance here.

Oh I love the lighting and they even have Lilies decorating the counter :)

I love Lilies. Hehe.

Hmm... what should I order this time around?

I decided on Chamomile tea while Darling had Raspberry :)

The big guy ordered a huge pizza...

... and trying to land as many planes on an iPhone

While I ordered pasta!

I couldn't really finish my pasta. As usual. Ooopps :S

Perhaps it was because I was waiting for something fantastic from the counter at the back.

Tadaa!!!!

How could you resist that!

I asked Darling if I could order my favourite piece of cake. But ended up spending a little bit of time at the dessert counter because I was thinking of ordering the Berry Pavlova or the Tiramisu or,... or ... etc wth. You know the berries look so beautiful on the Pavlova and the crust would be fantastic anyway. In the end, I thought to myself that I have to be very considerate since Darling doesn't take much sweet stuff and he loves nuts.

SO, I ordered the Tiramisu. :P

Oh, this is love :)

It was raining on Saturday. Oh, please... I love the sun!!!

I joined the girls for dinner at uMami steamboat in Sunway. Hehe.

I guess because it is still new, everything looks fresh. I love the bright lighting of this place.

A few choices of soup base.

The buffet area where you get the ingredients for the pot :)

One down side of the place is that each ingredient is limited. Even the bowls and plates! wth.

Abrupt end of this post.
