Watching Transformers for the second time is just as fun as the first time ... the only difference is that I knew what was going to happen next. But I still laughed a lot. Hehe.
It was fun going for the movie. I met my ex-colleagues, ex-course mates as well as friends who are still in the industry. Plus, every twin-seat comes with a large coke + popcorn. How cool is that? :D
After the movie, we walked around for a while and saw some happenings at Centre Court.
Very cute, right? (pardon the plant in the middle ... bad angle)
And they had all these cute dolls at random places around the mall!
It was Mac + iPoh Discover Week. So, we took time as there was a lot of things going on!
They did a great one on stage by just using the iTouch and iPod as the base and other instruments. Really cool!
Of course, it attracted a huge crowd. Look at the dolls hanging on the pillars!
There were so many Macs for you to explore and try on.
Including their ever famous iPod which revolutionized the music world.
On Sunday, Darling asked what I feel like having for brunch.
I said "Dim Sum!!" with very much glee and excitement.
Then, he said "Wa, how to find Dim Sum wo? So early in the morning ...."
I just laughed and left it to him to decide.
Before I knew it, Darling made me call a number ...
Normally, when we make a phone call, the restaurant would mention the name ... but my mobile phone hanged for a while so I couldn't hear the lady. But I went on and said "Do you still have Dim Sum?"
She passed me on to the other line. Yet, the lady picked up the call without mentioning the restaurant's name. So I went on asking the same question.
She said "Yes, until 2.45pm."
I said "OK, see you!"
I hung up and asked Darling where was he bringing me. He said "Why didn't you ask the person?"
Well, I told him, it is really weird for me to call and ask "So, where is this?"
Eh hello, you call me leh, somemore ask me who am I. So weird.
Haha. But it's just me lah. Crap.
So Darling pick up his phone and called his parents... and I heard ....
Concorde Hotel !!!
So we had Dim Sum at Concorde Hotel. One of the most famous Dim Sum in town. And I tell you, it is so worth the price.
Comfy environment, well-kept even after so many years.
The father and mommy told me that Darling and his elder sister used to dine there every week when they were young. And they just love the dim sum there.
They still serve dim sum in carts. Just like a few restaurants in Hong Kong.
Darling's parents already ordered a few things ... of course we did not only eat these few
The Chee Cheong Fun with Prawns is superb ... especially the sambal chilly. Trust me!
I love the porridge. Even Darling, who hates porridge, ate 1 whole bowl. Imagine that!
The egg tarts? As good as the one in Hong Kong. Or, maybe, better!
After Dim Sum, we head to PWTC for the Malaysia International Dive Expo 2009.
Those who know me would know that I am into these crazy stuff. My mom doesn't even understand this part of me.
I told my best friend, Kai Pei, and she said that it is dangerous. She was worried of me.
I said "Yes, I want to dive. I want to see the other part of the world."
There is just so much in this world that I felt it is just wasting time to just sit here and just here. After my trip to Phi Phi Island, I admitted having a little bit of butterflies in my stomach before jumping into the sea for some snorkerling. I just fell in love with the other side of the world.
Well, I won't just dive to look at corals and beautiful animals. My mission and aim is to conserve the sea bed. In simple words, my aim is to go pick up rubbish in the sea. Hehe.
We found a few packages that attracted us. One would be the Open Water Dive Course in Tulamben, Indonesia. The price is affordable and instructors are experienced profesionnal divers. The package includes theory classes, confine water diving in its own pool before going to the sea. Suits what we are looking for.
I did tell Darling before that if we were to visit Bali, I would not only want to see the beautiful beach, sea and famous temples. My aim is to climb the volcano.
Surprisingly at that time, Darling told me "me too!".
So, we went looking for a package and the diving resort in Tulamben, just 2 hours away from Bali, offers a day trip to the volcano as well. How cool is that!
I haven't tell my mother of my plan yet since it is way than confirm. We only have sketches of what we want to do here and there ... besides looking at my trimester timetable in Uni, Darling's workload and the weather in Tulamben (for now), there are a few financial terms we would need to look into first.
I think I would freak my mother out again. Diving is already something she'd put her finger on my nose and said a big NO. I guess climbing the volcano would make her shout at me.
Oh, let's see.
