Alright, I had my graduation... who wasn't there?

Was it you?

Or, YOU?

Where were you during my graduation?

I mms-ed Wendy, my best mate since college up until Uni.

She quickly replied "Why didn't you tell me?! I would have taken leave to be there with you!"

I was immediately touched by her responds. She's really my best mate, and a friend you can always trust and rely on for a listening ear, giving you the advices you need to hear.

Darling was so spontaneous. It's just him.

"Crap la you convo"

meaning: bull-shit la you, it's not your graduation ceremony

Hahahahhhaaha

Yeaaa...It was my students' convocation ceremony.

Well, excuse me with all the crap early in the morning alright. I woke up extra early, thus, get crappier. With the hype of wearing the boring robe for more than 6 times in my entire life NOT for my own graduation, I need something else to bring my attention away.

crap. I know.

And so it was the turn of the academics (me!) to walk into the convocation hall. At this moment, loads of cameras would be flashing at us. I felt like some celebrity for that 2 minutes. And that's it.

Then, we have the speeches by our President and an invited guest.

We had to bring our spirits up high at all times as we were sitting at the 3rd row with cameras in front of us, ready to capture unforgettable moments of our students. Since the camera may aim to student sitting near us, there is a really small possibility that it may capture us. So, we really had to keep our spirits high. wth. Haha.

So, as usual. I whooped out my camera and began capturing my own moment.

And oh, I had 2 colleagues being conferred their Master's Degree. Congrats!

Then, we only waited for the moment to grab our lunch before the afternoon session starts.

We walked to Avenue K for lunch!

Then, the session started and we found really interesting messages our students (which were then shown on the big screen when they walk up to get their scrolls) could ever write.

Some didn't miss thanking everyone around them.
Some thank only their parents.
Some only acknowledged their friends for some reasons.

AND, only a handful thanked their lecturers.

You tell me, what your problem harrr..... Who impart academic knowledge to you? Who gave you a chance to shine among your friends? Who was the one who had made your life in uni interesting? Ok, maybe I'll leave the last reason out...

Anyway, it was just me bragging/joking. You thank whoever you want-lah. It's your moment. As long as you are happy. Just have us, your teachers ... in your hearts. We do appreciate you at all times too :)

Although they weren't my students, but I felt the pinch of ovewhelming pride when these students walk up to receive their scrolls.

Its an honour and not everybody get that chance to have that moment. Really.
Like me, I'll be missing my garden-themed convocation ceremony in Adelaide due to several reasons.

Ahh...anyway, I may be able to make it for the one at Nikko Hotel in KL. We shall see. :)

Oh, on the other note, here's my new sitting position. I could be chatting with you or working my butt off on the comfort of my bed now. Thanks to Ikea. A bit flimsy though. But who cares, it was on sale for RM16. :)

Cherios!

XOXO,
