Food For Love

One of the things I cannot live without is the simplicity of ....

Yes, my heart-shaped basin I use in the kitchen. I cannot live without this basin.

... I cannot live without simple food out from my little space in the kitchen! :D

I did this Fruit-Tuna Salad.

Firstly, you'll need mayonnaise.

Fruits of your choice.

Cut the fruits into little bits. Not the big slices as seen above as I took the picture halfway through my cutting :)

Then, prepare the Tuna chunks in olive oil.

Pour them into a bowl and mash them up a little bit. Use a little bit of the olive oil to bring out the taste of tuna.

Put in the fruits and raisins (also cut into small bits) and mix well.

I love to have this with my favourite sandwich bread! :D

Last Friday, both Darling and I didn't know where to have dinner since we failed to book a place for the movie 2012 (*grumbles).

After very much thought, Darling suggested Alexis! Of course, I jumped with glee :)

I love the ambiance here.

Oh I love the lighting and they even have Lilies decorating the counter :)

I love Lilies. Hehe.

Hmm... what should I order this time around?

I decided on Chamomile tea while Darling had Raspberry :)

The big guy ordered a huge pizza...

... and trying to land as many planes on an iPhone

While I ordered pasta!

I couldn't really finish my pasta. As usual. Ooopps :S

Perhaps it was because I was waiting for something fantastic from the counter at the back.

Tadaa!!!!

How could you resist that!

I asked Darling if I could order my favourite piece of cake. But ended up spending a little bit of time at the dessert counter because I was thinking of ordering the Berry Pavlova or the Tiramisu or,... or ... etc wth. You know the berries look so beautiful on the Pavlova and the crust would be fantastic anyway. In the end, I thought to myself that I have to be very considerate since Darling doesn't take much sweet stuff and he loves nuts.

SO, I ordered the Tiramisu. :P

Oh, this is love :)

It was raining on Saturday. Oh, please... I love the sun!!!

I joined the girls for dinner at uMami steamboat in Sunway. Hehe.

I guess because it is still new, everything looks fresh. I love the bright lighting of this place.

A few choices of soup base.

The buffet area where you get the ingredients for the pot :)

One down side of the place is that each ingredient is limited. Even the bowls and plates! wth.

Abrupt end of this post.

Oprah Winfrey Show's 24th Anniversary

I heard this from my sister a while ago about this flash mob done to surprise Oprah Winfrey for her 24th Anniversary on her show.

So they did this flash mob in Chicago and I swear to God this is the coolest thing ever!

Check out this video for the dance practice:

I think it is so amazing how people took initiative to go for the dance practice. But hey, I would go for the practice! It is for Oprah!

Now, see below for the actual flash mob in Chicago. It gave me goosebumps because it is SO COOL:

See this one for a clearer version but with less detail on the mob:

Ain't it cool????!!!!

Can we have a flash mob here please?

I would be almost the first one to join I tell you!

Oh, I am so in love with this song. The rhythm, lyrics and the music video is so beautiful. Who wouldn't agree that Black Eye Peas is a talented band?! They even appeared on Oprah!

I can't go any further then this

I want you so badly, it's my biggest wish

I spent my time just thinkin thinkin thinkin bout you

Every single day yes, I'm really missin' missin' you

And all those things we use to use to use to do

Hey girl, what's up, it use to be just me and you

I spent my time just thinkin thinkin thinkin bout you

Every single day, yes I'm really missin missin you

And all those things we use to use to use to do

Hey girl what's up, what's up, what's up, what's up

Meet me halfway, right at the boarderline

That's where I'm gonna wait, for you

I'll be lookin out, night n'day

Took my heart to the limit, and this is where I'll stay

I can't go any further then this

I want you so bad it's my only wish

Girl, I travel round the world and even sail the seven seas

Across the universe I go to other galexies

Just tell me where you want, just tell me where you wanna to meet

I navigate myself myself to take me where you be

Cause girl I want, I, I, I want you right now

I travel uptown (town) I travel downtown

I wanna to have you around (round) like every single day

I love you alway... way

Can you meet me half way (I'll meet you halfway)

Right at the boarderline

That's where I'm gonna wait, for you

I'll be lookin out, night n'day

Took my heart to the limit, and this is where I'll stay

I can't go any further then this

I want you so bad it's my only wish

I can't go any further then this

I want you so bad it's my only wish

Let's walk the bridge, to the other side

Just you and I (just you and I)

I will fly, I'll fly the skies, for you and I (for you and I)

I will try, until I die, for you and I, for you and I, for for you and I,

For for you and I, for for you and I, for you and I

Can you meet me half way (yup yup)

Can you meet me half way (yup yup)

Can you meet me half way (yup yup)

Can you meet me half way (yup yup)

Meet me half way, right at the boarderline

That's where I'm gonna wait, for you

I'll be lookin out, night n'day

Took my heart to the limit, and this is where I'll stay

I can't go any further then this

I want you so bad it's my only wish

I can't go any further then this

I want you so bad it's my only wish

Hope you enjoyed the song as much as I do :)

Dizzling Dazzling

When it is raining on a Sunday, all I would think of is to laze at home with my blanket while watching TV ... a fruit platter and my love ones to keep my company would be a bonus.

To spice up the rainy days we have been experiencing in KL (oh, if you know me, I hate rainy days... I love the sun! Where are you!!!!!), Darling suggested to explore the Ampang Lookout Point. Something we have been hearing about but yet to discover for ourselves.

As we were driving up the hill at Ampang Jaya, Darling asked me to turn to my left and all I could see is the breathtaking view of KL City.

I love looking at city lights. How I wish my dream home would be overlooking this everyday?

There are a few restaurants like Haven, Gasoline & Western Restaurant. I had this -____-!! feeling when I saw the name of the restaurant.

Then I had little conversations happening in my crazy head when Darling went to the toilet.

Where do you want to have dinner tonight?

Errr... Western Restaurant?

Alright, which one?

Western Restaurant.

Yalar...which one la?

That Western Restaurant laaa

I know la! There are millions of Western Restaurants in this world ok! Which one?!?!?!?!

Then Darling came back from the restaurant and interrupted this little conversation in my crazy head.

Hahahhahaa

Anyway, we settled for Western Restaurant among the three because it has the most people dining at. :P

We have a view to die for...

I think I put on a few kg again... sigh. More salad! No more carbs!!! For God's sake... sigh.

Our drinks.

Starters

Our food came quite fast despite the crowd at the restaurant tonight. No pictures because we were too hungry. Hehe.

Anyway, I was telling Darling that it would not suit JC's birthday party (we wanted to have it here) because she'll be dressed up in a really nice dress but would go back with mosquito bites! And... the environment doesn't really gell in as well. For a friends makan-makan gathering would be fine.

After our conversation, the lights went off! I thought the electricity tripped off but before I could say that to Darling, the disco lights were on (-____-) and the birthday song was playing from the speakers. HAHA

What made it funnier was that the birthday song was not only a little bit "old school" but also had like 3 languages ... even in cantonese. It was quite long. Haha

Ahhh... what a night :)

The jingle bells are ringing again... all over the malls. Oh everytime when it comes to this month of the year, I would miss my host-family in Spain so so so much :( ... like seriously.

I miss my white christmas

My Bloody Experience

It was a fairly normal weekday for a Friday. Went to the HR Department to settle some stuff which caused a major misunderstanding and had me going to the clinic for something. Not really major stuff though.

So once the misunderstanding was cleared, I made my way to the Science preparation laboratory, where the Science lecturers and lab officers are stationed at. Checked a few stuff on the University intranet.

Then, I spotted Mr Tian having the Biology practical session with his students. So, being the curious one (and busy-body), I watched the students doing their experiments through the glass panels.

But something caught my interest as I saw one big group of students gathering at the teacher's table in front. At the same time, Tian spotted me. So, he came out and we chatted for a while. He told me that the students were doing the "blood type experiment".

Then I thought "Hey... I never knew my blood type! Can you test for me?!"

I popped into the lab and observed the students for a while.

Interesting.....

I couldn't wait any longer so I asked... "can jump Q ah?"

Then...

It was my turn on the table with the science kit.

I was pretty nervous even though the officers told me that it wouldn't hurt.

So, I tried to act cool. But deep down, my heart was pumping real fast.

HAHA

In less than 5 seconds, I could see blood dripping... in tiny dots of course.

Done!

See See See!!! So to all Science people outside there who can decipher this... which blood type am I??

Yeah... I am in the Type O positive category. Hehe

Now it is confirmed that EVEN THOUGH I look different from my sisters but we have the same gene OK!

wth.

After that, as expected, I jammed all the way back to KL due to the Friday traffic.

Like what Princess Audrey would say in her blog... FML. Hehe! I love her blog! She's cute :)
