Gelatissimo

When we dropped by Midvalley to alter my dress, the shop turned us down as they had a big pile of clothing waiting in line. Sigh.

Since we're a bit short of time before going home to fix something we're both excited about (will blog about it later), we decided to head to Darling's place. Seem like a good idea as I could help Darling's mom out with her Chinese New Year cookie.

I know what you're thinking.

I help to make also OK... although I ate a little bit here and there la...... But I got help to do a lot also lor! Bad lor you think of me this way.......

Kekeke

And then, something caught my attention and I asked Darling to buy me one.

It is Gelatissimo!!!

Darling said he doesn't feel like having an ice-cream. So I just ordered mine. Since Darling doesn't really take chocolate flavoured ice-cream, and he's not eating...so I chose the Cookie & Cream.

Looks yummy

And the next thing I knew...Darling ordered a little cup for himself. Hahahahaha...

He couldn't resist the sweet temptation too!

I think the man ordered the Lemon & Lime?

This is mine.

It may look like a huge rock of poo but don't be deceive by its outlook.

It was G.O.O.D. !!!

The ice-cream was so creamy and smooth. One full spoon into your mouth and you'll feel the ultimate taste of chocolate ice-cream right to the smell of it. It is like you could smell it from the inside of your mouth. The taste was very rich. But not too strong to kill the taste.

Perfecto.

Mei is back!

I even told my students how excited and happy I was that my sister was coming back that night. I haven't seen her for a year. Oh boy, how much I miss her! Finally, I can stop thinking what would she be doing right now or would she be OK.

If you know me enough, I am bad in showing excitements. When I am very happy, I will just be speechless and keep quiet, with a smile on my face. That is when Darling knew he really made me really happy. :)

Weird, I know.

I am weird what. Is that new? That only make me...ME.

Anywayyyy

I arrived home quite early to find that my dad was already home. We waited for Darling to come over to pick us up to the airport. And then, it started raining.

thus, add on to the bad traffic that night

We used the new highway to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). We arrived within 45 minutes with the jam in KL! Not bad eh?!

I got to witness something new.

Migrants (from Indonesia) coming in to Malaysia in search for a good job, pay and etc.
Security was very tight. Polices and armies everywhere in the airport and they had to line up when entering the immigration area (which is a total different area from the public), and then walk in lines again when exiting the airport.

I was just amazed, not by the security, but by the number of people. According to Darling, there are at least 2000 people arriving every other day!

We went to wait for my mom at the domestic arrival area and then, went to the food court to grab a late dinner after realizing that my sister's flight, transiting in Singapore, was delayed for an hour.

My sister was smart, she used the phone within the international hall to call my sister who was in Singapore. It was free of charge. :)

After dinner, we went to the international arrival hall to wait. I met up with another student who also went to the exchange program. He was waiting for his brother. How time flies. It was already 8 years.

I still remember how sad I was to leave Malaysia. And how I cried when it was time for my to leave Spain.

My mother was the most excited person. Even though it will be another half an hour before my sister's plane touches down from Singapore, she told me that she would prefer standing at the exact place where everyone would be walking by. -___-!!

Finally, Japan Airlines touches down (as shown on the schedule). After waiting for another half an hour, we saw Japanese stewardess walking out from the hall. I was getting more and more excited!

And then, I saw some youngsters with the same AFS tag on their luggage, running to their parents and shouting with lots of excitement! I got even more excited, searching for my sister!

When suddenly, Darling said "eh, what are you looking at? Lee Mei is there la!"

-_____-!!!

The next thing I remember was giving my sister a very tight hug. And then...everybody starting hugging everyone. Then, she was saying goodbye to her friends as some were leaving the airport already.

Thus, the blur pictures!

My mom and sister

Finally, all of us. Only missing my other 2 younger sisters.

She sounds much more mature. She even pierced her ear. And a longer hair.

Poor her, she was sweating because back in Germany when she left, the temperature was -20 degrees!

Welcome back, Mei!

My new habitat

I have shifted to my dad's place, right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. A very busy and lively place to live in.

One thing nice is that I get to have my own space. A lot of privacy.

I get to have my own workstation. My own bed. My own closet. My own make-up table.

BUT ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

.........

.....

...

Nobody to talk to me, unless I go online and get somebody to chat with me.

For the first few nights (especially the first night), I had troubles accommodating to the fact that it is so quiet. Suddenly, nobody is going to keep ask me questions (oops!).

Darling will be calling me whenever he could. Like what he said, I will need some time to adjust myself again.

Photos!!!

The Living Room
Somewhere I can relax and go on with my work until late at night...

The Kitchen
A place where I can feel my little hungry stomach with dishes I learn from mommy, dad & grandma.

Yes, my dad can cook anything you get from the cook book. He was a chef ;)

My bedroom
Sorry for the mess. No time to decorate yet!

I need a comforter for my bed!

Close-up
I bought the book since last year... haven't had the time to read. I love the movie a lot :)

Isn't the Merry-Go-Round lovely?

Pei, now you know how much I love the gift you gave me for my birthday... it is very lovely. Thank you :)

View from my the master bedroom (of course, my parent's room lah)

View from my room
Yep, looking right into the heart of KL...not too beautiful though :S

The waterfall, jacuzzi and the pool!
A place where you can find me sun-bathing with a story book in hand.

Wait-lah when I have time first.

So... anyone needs a mate for a cuppa? :)

Apologies

Updates will be a little slower this week. I have so many things to do yet so little time!

I'm getting the rush for work with the limited time left. Especially when I have full-day classes at KDU this weekend.

It became a little bit emotional at classes this week. I know I will miss all of them.

Wishing all my students the best for their final exams :)

New Habitat

I have a new place to call home.

Currently, I'm still settling down while my dad starts nagging on the amount of things I have in "my area".

Of course, I also nag about him leaving the shoes on the floor when there is a shoe rack.

I know I know, although I occupy 3 level out of 4 levels of the shoe rack, there is still one row for him to put his shoes what. Duh~

That is why I bought a 4-level shoe rack OK!

Anyway, more pictures and photos will be uploaded. Soon. How soon?

As soon as I clear pending paper works at the office and finish off my 4000-word assignment. Let us hope I can finish at least half of my assignment by this weekend so I could have more time to clean up the house, catch up on my sleep, shop for CNY goodies (to give out by next week!) and ...

.....................

...............

.........

Of course, blog-lah~

See. I always update my blog even when I have no time. Don't you love me? :D

New Blogger Friends

I have found new blogger friends!

OK, FINE, I know them but they do not know me... YET!

Anyway, I find their blogs interesting. Basically, because they blog every other day.

I read blogs everyday and some bloggers take a very long time to update, like XiaXue, Nira and Dawn Yang. I know they have other things to do in their lives.

I do too!

I am lucky as Kenny Sia do update very often.

It is just that I am so addicted to blogs that I can't sleep well if I don't read at least ONE nice blog post.

This addiction is so bad that I have turned to read my own blog to entertain myself. Pathetic, huh?

Whatever. *roll eyes*

Anyway, my two new blogger friends are Pink Pau and Suet Li, who are studying overseas.

I love Suet Li's blog as she posts up a lot of pictures, especially the one about her trip to Florida and Boston.

OMG, I wish I am her so I could set foot in the US even if it is just for Universal Studio and Disneyland!!!

AND AND AND....

From Suet Li's blog, I have learned that there is a place called Magic Kingdom. I wonder if it is one of the parks in the huge Disneyland in Florida or another kind of theme park like Disneyland?

Hmmm.................

My new nest

If you have known me for years, you'll know that I've shifted a couple of times throughout my years staying in the big city.

Now, I have a new home. A place to call my home. Again.

I feel comfortable here. I haven't been staying in this kinda setting before.

So I'm looking forward to embracing a new type of lifestyle.

I have just shifted in and have yet to settled down.

I'll be posting photos and explain more about my new nest.

So...stay tuned. :)

Have a good weekend!

Picture Album of 2008

As promised, I have completed my simple project on things that I have done in the year 2008. Some are major events that I couldn't miss;
A few things I did for the first time;
And also a year full of love.

***********************************

January 2008

My cousin baby was born a month ago and just couldn't wait to visit her when she arrive from Singapore. So I took a weekend trip back.

Back then, she was so tiny but already very cheeky

Bought daddy a new mobile phone with my first paycheck for year 2008

February 2008

It was the time of the year where everybody look forward to the season of Ang Pow and V'Day.

We had a cousin reunion over supper

From left: My youngest sister, me, cousin and younger sister (coming back from Germany on Monday!)

This time of the year would also mean the time where both of us catch up with each other (only)

It was also the time of the month where true love sparks :)
My favourite flower - Lily

March 2008 It was one of the highlight of 2008 when my Spanish host- family from my exchange program told me in January that they would be visiting me for 2 whole weeks!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I met them at Impiana Hotel, KL

It was a true reunion after so many years

Only this time, it was a very special reunion

Where people from 2 very different cultures meet and call one another as family

This was taken on my mother's birthday. She would always remember her special this. Particularly, this year.
She got a laughing Buddha as a birthday present from my host-family :)
How sweet of them, no?

I told my mama all I wanted from Spain was them and nothing but her delicious pailla!

She brought the ingredients and even its proper wok to ensure the true Spanish taste of pailla is there for me :)

This is her in the kitchen at my house in Kelantan

I truly love it

And both of us took our first photo with the Petronas Twin Towers

April 2008
This would always be one of the months I look forward to in a year. Yeah, I'm vain. I'm a Taurus. This time of the year in 2008, it was a really splendid one.

Because...

I watched Celine Dion live in KL!!!
It was a pleasant surprise by Darling. Even though he just got back from Singapore, he tried his best to be there. It was an unforgettable night.

This was the only concert I could sing every song and every word from the lyrics

I celebrated my birthday at the office with the colleagues

Also, an amazing night with Darling

Got my favourite colour for roses

And a really nice and sweet gift from my best friend, Miss Pei

May 2008

Darling was away in Japan for nearly a week.

So I spent the days bakinng for the very first time

I also had the chance to teach in Kampar for the first time

I really love the setting of the lecture halls

June 2008

I went back to Kelantan to visit my family

I saw how my sister rode her horse, Jingle

I miss my grandmother too

July 2008

Of course, the highlight would be the trip to Hong Kong!

Finally, I took a beautiful picture at The Peak

We also went to Ocean Park and love it a lot although it was so sunny

Proved that I am taller than 132cm at the park

Took a lovely picture in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle in HK Disneyland

Took a memorable shot with my Donald and his cute ass

Loved Tomorrowland the most

My wish also came true when I sat on the Merry Go Round at Disneyland

We also got the best shopper of the year award!

Above: Darling's
Below: Mine

When would be our next trip again! :D

August 2008

Darling's birthday!

The man finally got his new toy

and I was the bridesmaid at his sister's wedding

September 2008

Darling and I traveled up North and explored most of the states including Perlis

Enjoyed my favourite food in Penang

Had a good time testing the camera and the tripod at the beach! :D

October 2008

This is the month where warehouse sales from various companies happen every other week! Bad news for my bank account.

Darling and I went to the Metrojaya Warehouse Clearance and I got myself lots of cosmetics from YSL

Then, I tried to be healthy by going for my first ever blood test. And the results came out that I am high in cholesterol, low in calcium :/

We also caught Justin live in concert at Genting Highlands

November 2008

I watched my first Gold Class at 1-Utama

...and found out that banking can be so convenient

December 2008

A season to celebrate a year's hard work. Some got their annual bonuses; Some got a promotion

Bold
Too happy to have the end of the year celebrated...

I started by kissing Sharon's crocodile pencil box.
Do not guess where was I!

I took leave and buzz away to Singapore on Christmas Eve!
Finally took a picture with the Merlion :)

And I celebrated the season of giving and love with my...

Family at the zoo

and

posed with Darling in the middle of Orchard Road on Christmas Day

and dined with my family and closest friends

while the man got to visit the little one that always make him smile :)

Then, celebrated the last day of 2008 with closest friends at Genting Highlands

I had a very splendid year in 2008. It was very fulfilling. I had my sweetest moments and of course, challenges in between.
But it only made me a stronger person.

.Stronger but still positive.

I would want to have another fulfilling year in 2009 with some of my resolutions:

  1. Join the gym and be fit
  2. Continue saving a very healthy amount of money at the bank
  3. Complete my studies
  4. Living a positive life
