Sweet Marmalade

It is a lazy day with the beautiful sun shining outside so I decided to go out and meet my girl pal.

I pick her up and brought her to my favourite restaurant in New Bangsar Shopping Mall situated at Jalan Telawi, Bangsar.

I love the wallpapers on the walls

Flowers decorating the corners

One huge pot of daisies in the middle

Beautiful.

And I met someone close to me, no other than Miss Tamera. :)

Besides Pouline, who couldn't make it because she's back in Muar, Tamera is my closest friend when I had classes in KDU.

We sat and chatted all the way in the car to the restaurant and non-stop until I hugged her good bye.

It is also quite dangerous to date Tamera...

because

we will end up buying something!!!!

This time, we bought the same pair of shoes :P

We ordered a few things to be shared because the portion is quite big.

I ordered this Sound of Havana salad.
Reallyyyyy good. Healthy too!

Chamomile tea for me and Ginger tea for her

Our lunch - simple & healthy

I was paying a little bit of attention to the table behind Tamera because the two expats were speaking in Spanish and I could recall some of the words I have forgotten.

These two women were accompanied by their children.
One with a son, another with a daughter.

I smiled at the son when he looked at me.
Then, he started to try climbing down from the baby chair.

I continued paying attention on our conversation and suddenly I saw that little boy beside me!

He was so adorable!!!! *excited*

He came to me, looked at me in the eye, smiled and wave "hello"

Awww... my heart melted straight away.

Both Tamera and I stopped talking for a while and entertained this little boy.

We were quite scared if the mother would not like it but she looked more interested in continuing her conversation with her friend.

I asked Tamera if it is OK to just take a picture with this cute little boy, but thought that it would be good to first get permission from the mother.

I was so excited when the mother took out her own camera and took a shot of both of us with her son! :D

Then, I wasted to time, whipped out the camera in my bag and took a picture of him too!

He was smiling but when Tamera clicked, he wasn't smiling anymore.
So he looked a bit sad here.
I think he got tired of waiting. -__-

Another shot with Tamera. :)

Oh what a day... a day well spent. A close chat with a good friend, nice bowl of salad, hot tea... and a cute little boy child.

Can the rest of the days in my life be like that too?

OMG I AM SO HAPPY

One of my favourite blogger, Kim Ong, actually reads and commented on my blog!

I am so so so honoured. Happy~

Will write more tomorrow. I'm going back to my big project. :)
I am so lazy to blog .... sorry...

Oh well, basically because I am in the middle of a huge project for someone. I hope someone will love it because I have never done this before.

By the way, time passed REALLY fast. Like a flash of light! *pooof* the long weekend is over.

I spent so much time with Darling and family, of course...friends too! :D

Attended weddings in the pass week, dinner with my close friends... gosh there are so many things to write about.

And And And!!! My ever delayed Bali post. I think most of you have viewed my pictures on Facebook.

Oh, how much I enjoyed Bali and the experience of a different culture in a whole new country.

Anyways, I'm going to go back to my project.

I will write again tomorrow!!!

Please still have faith in me.....

Cheers,
Lee Sa

My apologies for the lack of posts. Things have been catching up on me too quickly these days. Have I slowed down or time management is an issue I should look into again?

Anyway, I have been finishing off work and trying to make it on time (up to expectations too!). In the end and after much hard work and one late night, my teammates and I did it! Good job to us!

I was so happy to wrap things up for the semester this morning. It has been a great semester with my students. I have seen great work, amazing achievements as well as the learned attitude that not very many students possess nowadays.

Honestly, do you go to University to continue your tertiary education for your future (get a good job/salary/career) or just to meet your parent's expectations?

I feel sad for students who told me that they do not know what they are studying and is just there because my mother told me to study engineering. It is very disheartening to hear. Expectations can kill passion and spirit.

I always tell them to study something they love and have passion for. So what if you love the computer more than your bed? Is it weird to choose to be a chef rather than a lawyer? Do you really think being an engineer, doctor, lawyer, accountant ... etc. will be so much better than any other occupation or job opportunities available in the world?

Over lunch, one of the topics discussed among my colleagues were about the way people discriminate certain jobs.

You fail your test again?!! Maybe you should just be a garbage man or a fruit seller.

Study hard! You do not want to end up selling char koay teow by the road!

It really irks me when certain people, especially educators and parents who would give such remarks to children. I am proud to say that my mother doesn't mention this to us, but I shall always remember her respect for people disregard of their race, gender, occupation, income... everyone is a unique individual with a purpose.

We are all special in our own way.

So what if a person sells char koay teow at the night market?
Is it a problem if a person loves to draw and not listen to heartbeats everyday in the clinic?
Can you be a better tri-shaw man who cycles our cultures around the world and make us special than the rest of the countries?
Do you think you can live in peace without the people who helps us tidy our lawns, cut the grass and pick up our garbage everyday?

Everyone is here for a purpose and we are each special individual.

I would like to take this chance to wish all my Malay friends Selamat Hari Raya. Maaf zahir dan batin.

p/s: Yasmin Ahmad, you are among the people whom I will always look up to for your special messages you have tried to send in your ads and movies. You left us too soon but we hear you and will always remember you.
Check the video out... super-duper cool!

Cheers, people

and last but not least, Selamat Hari Raya to my Muslim friends and blog readers :)

If you're driving back home this Raya, please be considerate on the road and arrive home safe yea! :)

Peace.
