Happy Buffday Sharon!

We hail Queen Sharon on 28th of March!

Yes Yes Yes, I know it was Earth Hour, so everyone wasn't at home, my parents were at a wedding dinner... so practically, we DID celebrate Earth Hour.

JC, our lovely organizer, settled us for a birthday dinner with Sharon at Cafe-Cafe KL.

It was said that the restaurant has really good English ambience, nice lighting... but no one really talk about the food.

I saw on the reviews that it is not bad.

And, since other places were practically fully-booked, we HAD to settle for this even though they only had the RM89++, RM119++ and RM149++ dinner set.

It is way dear to our liking, but nevermind we thought... just try-lah.

The location was a little bit out of place due to the bushes (or weeds?) that covered the restaurant's main door when viewed from the side of the road.

Parking was hard to find too! We had to park somewhere down the other road behind the restaurant. Imagine us all dressed up beautifully for this beautiful restaurant walking at lorongs. Shit~

But when we went in, it was really beautiful.

Of course, that were pictures grabbed from their website. HAHAHA

See, my camera couldn't capture the beautiful deem yellow light in the restaurant.

Look so dull right?

But it was really beautiful.

And QUIET.

I told my friends that only couples who (doesn't talk really loud) can go to this place.

Everybody was practically whispering. -___-

It was really a fine dine place. Great for Valentine's Day :)

(p/s:not that I spent V'Day in a bad place ok. It wasn't a hint either)

They had beautiful chandeliers and crystals hanging from the ceiling.

Both of us were the earliest. :)

Was darling trying to kiss me or just plainly avoiding the lense?

It was a beautiful night with close friends.

Then, the food came.

This was darling's appetizer. Not to our liking.

This was mine. Not to my liking either.

Yee Teng's snails... I didn't really like the taste

After the awful appetizers, both Darling and I waiting patiently for our soup

Not too bad

But my friend, who ordered the RM149++ set, got this French Salad!!!

French really has dry salad...and it doesn't look appealing at all!

My friend was looking at it for some time and he took a small bite of one of the leaf

He gave up. He said the smell was so strong he could even smell it himself after the dessert!

Anyway, the captain of the restaurant was nice enough to exchange it to the soup we all had

HAHA

Next, main course!

My chicken something something

JC had the same thing too! Grabbed this photo from her FB

And my friend ordered the risotto

Doesn't look appealing?

She ... I mean we, didn't like it either!

Anywayyyyy

Dessert was great!

I loved my Chocolate Tart!

Obviously, JC loved her cheese cake!

Darling ordered the cheese cake too! With mango topings. He loved it as well :)

Quite rare my Darling would love cheese u know...the chef did a good job :)

All of us at the long table.

Yea, very difficult for us to talk.

Somemore, we couldn't talk loudly or shout.

No, we didn't write messages on papers or sms each other during dinner.

HAHA

But we couldn't supress ourselves for NOT talking anymore!!!

It was a very good timing that they took out Sharon's birthday dish.

Very beautiful, eh?

Taste good too!

We sang her the birthday song, and she was smiling from ear to ear

...and made a wish (hopefully get married next year OK)

HAHA

And we gathered around for group photos

So we can chit-chat, ya know...

with that long table...really cannot survive lah

Not suitable for us!

Next stop, Sky Bar.

I know i know, we went there the last time!

But we just love it :)

I ordered Sharon's birthday cupcakes from Pretty Frosting

Everyone loved it...

and I meant EVERYONE.

I was really happy I went all the way in choosing the designs.

Credits to my friend Jerrica for the lovely cupcakes!!!

Sharon loved it as well :)

I know, the 4 candles gave that little hint like we're in the middle of some voodoo or something.

But nah...we just needed the lighting because it was too dark there.

Isn't it cute?!?!?!?!?!?

Wendy loved it

And everybody just crowd around and took lots of photos

Above: Yee Teng and Felix
Below: BeeKuan and JC

Both of us :)

All of us

...and with a cupcake each

It was a really beautiful night
Nothing beats spending a night out with your closest friends
Family counts too of course...

Everyone just felt cozy and happy
Because we were just comfortable with each other
When we could just laugh at our silly antics
Joke about everything... even when we turn out fat in photos

I love my friends
I love my family
I love my memories

We love you, Sharon!

The Earth Moment

If you noticed our weather, it is getting weirder.

On Monday, it was
TRULY EXTREMELY hot.

Burning!

Came Tuesday and Mr. Sun suddenly decided that Mr. Rain should be the only person working.

Wednesday was a
BURNING day again. But it rained heavily in several parts of KL.

Today, it was sunny in the morning and suddenly at 2pm, it rained all over again... this time, with lightning followed by the good friend, the Thunder.

Man... isn't it weird?

Oh I believe in you Al Gore! I believe you!!!

I believe that one day, the statistics shown on An Inconvenient Truth by former US Vice President Al Gore will come true. That is when everything's too late.

Imagine, most parts of India and China sink into sea. Millions of people would be running for shelter. Another crisis would arise.

I wonder if Phi Phi Island...

...and the Maldives would still be around.

When it happens, it will be so sad.

Both were depicted as the paradise on Earth. Mother Earth!!!!

Since we're not sure if we're going to heaven/paradise after we die, we should visit or at least preserve this given paradise on Earth!

What say you?!?!?!

We can all do our part by turning off our lights this Saturday (28th March 2009) from 8.30pm - 9.30pm.

Let us give Earth its moment. She deserves a rest from Malaysia for a while.

Let's us join Earth Hour.
