Random updates

While I was tidying up pictures on my laptop, I found some random pictures to update on my online diary :)

If you can't find me shopping or walking aimlessly at the mall, I may be at the arcade supporting the man or shooting along together

Here is something cute about Pizza Huts. They ran out of big boxes for deliveries, so they cut their pizzas into smaller pieces to fit their smaller boxes.

I was walking in Sunway Pyramid while waiting for the boyfriend at the gym, and I spotted this very cute shop! You'll totally fall in love with it!

Yep, it's yummy-licious Bloop

All their make-up/beauty products are decorated into designs of various desserts!

Like here, they have various cakes candies on the dessert bar!

Looking colourful?

They are all cute colourful towels!

Take a look at this one :)

Those that love desserts would fall in love with the decoration alone. They even have the bubble bath balls decorated into ice-cream balls! And it was decorated inside an ice-cream fridge.

Sorry I couldn't take much pictures because pictures were actually not allowed.

Anyway, check Bloop out at Sunway Pyramid!

"I dream my painting, and then I paint my dream."

– Vincent van Gogh

So what is your dream?

I dream a wonderful family. A job just to occupy a sufficient amount of my time and able to lead my life with quality.

I would like to walk the road less taken. I would like to still feel and look great at 30.

I would like to continue to love and be loved deeply. I hate cold wars. I dislike slowing down when it comes to love. I want to be a person full of passion.

I am bold.

I want to be me.

Busy

I know I haven't been blogging like I used to. I apologize for that.

I am just so busy!

The exam period has started at Uni. A lot of students have pimples popping out of their faces. Some seem relaxed, though. I guess it depends on the papers they were going to take on that particular day.

More papers to be marked soon. *cough cough*

I promise I will buck up on writing more postings when I'm back next week!

Btw, Happy Chap Goh Meh to those who are celebrating. :)

To my dearest students, all the best!

Moo-Moo Year (Part 2)

I was back in KL by the 3rd day of CNY. I met up with Darling, and we went to watch Red Cliff II! Very nice indeed.

I visited his family too!

Over the days in KL, I did a lot of things other than working at the office.

Shopping malls in KL had really nice decorations!

Like this one at Midvalley's Center Court

Perfect lightings at The Gardens

Darling, my uncle and I went to meet Alanis for dinner at Mont Kiara. We dined at this restaurant that serves Croatian food.

I didn't really dine like that before.

Now I know the name of the restaurant.

While the men do the talking...

... the girls took pictures. Haha

Alanis' Rum Steak

My uncle's seafood platter with potatoes

My pasta in white sauce

Darling's mutton, accompanied with sweet potatoes and vegetable mix by the side

We also went to Audrey's place for our CNY gathering. Steamboat was for dinner!

Her doggy caught my extra attention. She's so cute and smart!

Her name is Coco

We also visited our ex-colleague's house.

Had really nice chocolate fondue prepared by Casyn

Apart from just strawberries and plums, we had these for the fondue too!

Kristine has a really nice home at Damansara Prima. It is a double-storey condominium unit.

Living room

dining room + kitchen at the back

Outside.
Darling said it is like a double-storey house in a building.

Even has a gate and pathway before entering the house!

The view: 2 pools! And plenty of palm trees!

Totally fell in love with the unit almost immediately.
But it would cost a bomb. :S

On the 7th Day of CNY, I had dinner with Darling's family at Restoran Hau Kee XXXX (forgot what is it) in Cheras.

Don't get me wrong, they serve delicious food! Look at the crowd! Darling's sister said that it is like that almost everyday, even on weekdays!

Here's part of what was on the menu:

yee sang

everybody wished for a good and prosperous year ahead

with smiles and laughters on our faces

Fried prawn

Darling's favourite: Herbal salted chicken...

...served in a big bucket!

He was so happy he wanted to have for himself! Haha!

Of course, we didn't allow him

Part of the appetizer

How was your CNY? Must be good?!

Have a prosperous and happy Moo-Moo year ahead!

Moo-Moo Year (Part 1)

I'm back! Back to my pad in KL!

It was a very good break from work, buzz of the city and assignments. A very much needed break after such a long time.

Although I wasn't back for a long time, but it was better than none.

I went back early Saturday morning. My uncle drove his S60 Volvo back with all of us (aunt, cousin and I) tugged at the passenger seats. We started our journey at 6am.

ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Finally at 1pm, we arrive Kelantan. Long and winding journey had came to an end!

The first thing we did was going to Hover Restaurant for lunch!

Different kinds of curry mix together, blend it together with rice + fried chicken. Yummy~

After that, we went straight home to my house, where I grew up. My mom did a lot of changes to the room, especially the guest room.

This is me in the Snow-White Room, where I used to sleep.
Taken on the first day of CNY.
Do you like my cheongsam? My first ever cheongsam by Darling :)

A lot of changes to the Guest Room.

After that, I went straight to my grandmother's house to visit my grandmother, aunts and cousins!

She grew up real fast.

Finally, it was the night before Chinese New Year where all Chinese would have their Reunion Dinner.

Chef for the night: my dad (of course)

Here are a few dishes for the night. Let the pictures speak for itself!

Yam cake + mixed vegetables

Meat balls (non-halal), by my mom

Roast duck with special sauce from daddy's cook book

Sweet and Sour Pork (so far, I think daddy makes the best!)

And we all started our dinner. These are my relatives from my dad's side.

Even the kids were happy with the food!

First day of CNY!!! Mommy had to wake all of us up because we slept too late the night before.

My youngest sister dressed up my dog, Kiki, a little bit

Yep, with a red bow. Haha!

Then it was family photo before going to the temple to offer prayers to the Buddha and our ancestors.

1, 2, 3.........Oops, not everybody was in!

Now, we're partly complete...basically because one of my sisters wasn't around

On the first day of CNY, my parents did an open house, inviting my mom's colleagues and my dad's staffs.

Some of you may not be aware that my mom teaches the special children. Thus, a few of them were present with their parents.

This year, we decided to personally give them ang pows, contributed not just by my mom, but also other people. Darling, his mom and I contributed.

My favourite kid in my mom's class where I used to help out.

The crowd

And then, I got a phone call from my cousin saying that the little girl was crying... bad mood. I rushed over and saw her sleeping. I open up my arms towards her, offering to carry her out of her bed. She smiled immediately. Cute :)

Look at her... now she's happy

My nephew was back too! My first baby nephew, David.
Now, these are the two youngest member in the family. Hehe.

We had a feast for dinner too! My dad cooked up a few dishes...

And we had our "yee sang"

Day 2 of CNY, I went visiting to my relatives house in other districts. And then, rushed home to meet the best friend!

How can we not meet? Even though we only had very limited time.

Day 2, we had a feast for dinner too! My parents did another open house for relatives and our Chinese friends. My sisters invited their classmates too :)

This time, daddy had the permission from my mom to cook whatever he liked! Especially when it comes to the number of dishes!

Menu for the night:

1) Shark fin soup
2) Pumpkin soup
3) Russian salad
4) Coleslaw
5) Meat roll
6) Roasted Duck with special sauce
7) Fried Bee Hoon
8) BBQ chicken (by my uncle from the BBQ pit)
9) Indonesian layer cake (contributed by Aunt May)
10) Watermelon (contributed by my mom)

My favourite Russian salad! Finished within half an hour!

But the little girl was having an upset stomach. She vomitted a few times before coming to my house.

Poor girl
But once she saw the piano, her eyes lit up!

My cousin put a flower on her ear.

Doesn't she look cute?

Family photo. Only 1/3 of the family was around.

Close friends I grew up with. If you listen to Fly FM, you'll know Jules.
She's wearing purple. :)

My dearest grandmother and I

My forth aunt was so happy the little girl let her carry for the very first time!
Normally, she would cry even before my aunt could lay her hands on her.

Random picture:

She came to my house like that. Very steady hor!?!
