The Ship-Sheep

On some nights, David and I will spend time reading to Ethan.

Ethan enjoys reading time. I can see he loves books, especially the ones with busses and trucks. Or, the ones that i dramatize and change the story into something funny. Such a drama king.

And so I was revising his favourite book about "transportation" (of course). I have been teaching him to differentiate between a "ship" and a "boat". He finally understand and could differentiate them now.

Then, a funny conversation ensued:-

Me: Ethan, what is this?
E: Boat!
Me: yes correct! Good boy! How about this?
E: Ship!
Me: Correct!
E: Baa-baa black sheep!

😓😂

Then I realise I have more explanation to do but that's for another night.

Evan Leong

Look at Evan. He is such a Daddy's boy. I can imagine him making David laugh and getting much more attention compared to how Ethan reacts to him.

Charity starts from home

Last Saturday was a very meaningful day for both us. Lawrence - the Bahasa Kebangsaan lecturer from my Department organsied a charity event together with his students.

When he told me about the activity and that 40 children from Chow Kit Kids project (a project by The Region of Love Foundation) are going to join the event, I suddenly had the idea of having Ethan and Evan be part of this.

So, that night, I told David that I was going to take RM50 each from Ethan and Evan's CNY Ang Pow funds, buy enough snacks to pack 40 goodie bags and have Ethan give out the bags to the Kids on Saturday. Of course, he agreed.

So on Friday night, Ethan helped pack the goodie bag (or more of creating a mess but I was glad he did help out a little bit here and there). He was a bit shy when we arrived and had so many people staring at him when we walked into the lecture theatre. I was supposed to give a Welcome Speech (in BM!!!) so I asked David to bring him in only when it was time to give out the goodie bags.

Oh well they both went missing for a while so I had Murina's daughter (Hannah) to give out on our behalf. Ethan and David came back after a while and I took the remaining pack of Mentos and had him pass to the Kids. He was happy and enjoyed the process.

I always believe in imparting good believes and values in a child from young. They are smart and understands much more than we know.

Writing Up

I've been reading a lot these days. Trying to write up a paper about creative teaching tools for general subjects. Hopefully I can complete writing this before June.

Let's see!

Finally!

Call me dumbo. I just knew there is a Blogger app to update my blogspot. 😒
