Food Poisoning

Both the husband and I were down with food poisoning since Sunday. I got better after 1 night of vomiting (2 times of running to the toilet). My husband continued vomiting for the next 2 days.

I could see him screaming in pain. He was hugging his stomach saying that there are cramps, more vomiting... and his face turned from pale to green. He was no longer vomiting food. It turn from yellow to green. Bile acid. That is not good.

Finally, he plead to be brought to the hospital for drips. He has never done that but I could see the pain in his eyes. Chinese has this pantang of going into hospitals, that's why we never resorted to that earlier. I regretted my decision of not going against it. I drove him to the nearest specialist hospital due to his medical background to get necessary assistance, just in case.

When he was hospitalised for the first time some time in September last year, I didn't cry. Because I knew he would be okay and was just under observation. This time, however, I cried. The tears just welled up in my eyes when I saw him with drips, the already frail body, colourless lips ... it was very difficult to watch and yet I had to be there beside him. I want to be with him. He needs me.

I made sure the nurse and doctor who attended to him knew of his background. We were very lucky as nurse Zu was very good with needles. Doctor (didn't get his name) was very attentive, coming in to check every other half hour. I remembered asking the doctor the reason for his bad abdominal pain. Doctor responded that they're taking his blood for a few tests just to be sure and more importantly, to make my husband feel comfortable first. Immediately, they started the drip.

I kept praying inside me for angels and Gods to save my husband from the pain that he was suffering. Friends and colleagues messaged to support. I had to tell them as I was absent to work. Didn't get to really tell my family because they were away for a holiday and I didn't want them to worry. I could handle that.

After 1 packet of drip, I could see a huge change in his face. No more abdominal cramps and his lips are rosy red again. I blamed myself for not bringing him in earlier. And then quietly, I cried again. Perhaps, I was the one that caused all these unnecessary pain and delay.

After 4 hours, 1 urine test, 1 blood test and 2 packets of drips, my husband was allowed to leave. I paid and signed the papers on his behalf. The nurse decided to wheel him out on a wheel chair, so I drove the car to the hospital lobby.

Mommy called me the first thing when she arrived at the airport. She must have heard from my sister. But at least all is good now. He's recuperating at home for the rest of the week. He started on a bit of solid food today. Only hope to see him smile again.

The Many Things

I have been more than just busy lately.

Our team organized a launch event for the first performing arts studio in KDU. It was an honor to have renown movie director, Mr Ko Chi Sum with us.

And you know it, the press are going to come and we will get media coverage! Yay!

So yes, the event was very successful. We had one of the most prominent news on 8TV entertainment the following day. Happy :D

More projects to come. And also something in life :)

Will update soon.

Have a good week ahead!

A Beautiful Birthday

My girlfriends and I had a birthday dinner for April babies (SY & me!).

We have new little ones joining the girlfriend (or aunty) group. Some pregnant and some getting married :)

On my birthday, my husband brought me to KL Hilton to celebrate my birthday, because we still have our wedding anniversary food voucher (worth RM400!!) to use up and it was expiring already. So, why not?

My husband and I :)

I knew something was up because the waitress knew who he was when we walked into the restaurant. I asked but he just simply gave me an answer. =.=

After dinner, the waitresses sang me a birthday song, brought me a birthday cake and my present!

Birthday present from dearest hubby. Guess what's inside?

A little piece of my birthday cake. Yummy!

The hubs!

A beautiful pair of diamond ear-rings! :D

Love it to the max!

I remember telling him that I want a pair of ear-rings. Most of the ones I have will give me itchy red ears! So, he went around finding one that is made in platinum. Yes, my husband's very sweet :)

I am very blessed and thankful for that. Thank you very much!

I enjoyed my birthday. Hopefully there will be more to celebrate with family and friends in the years to come :)

Also, thank you for all the wishes on Facebook. I do have very nice people around me.

Have a good week next week! It'll be a busy one for me. Appraising my team for the first time :)

Thank you KL Hilton

We were lucky. I believe the God of Hotel (if there is such a God, I sincerely thank you) has been really nice to us.

When we checked into KL Hilton to use our Wedding Anniversary gift voucher for a free night stay at their suite, it turned out that that particular suite arranged for us had a faulty aircond. With no other suites available (so many rich people!!!), I guess they had no choice but to upgrade us to the Penthouse :O

I couldn't believe it when Darling broke the news to me as he always play these pranks on me. But this time, it's real!

KL Hilton

When we walked into the Penthouse, I couldn't believe myself stepping into a hotel room. Seriously, this can fit 10 people.

I'll let the pictures do the talking!

Work and living area :)

See that huge door and a rack full of towels of all sizes you can think of!

View from the 2nd floor looking down to the 1st floor :O

Changing room fit for a queen

I love the bathroom most!

Straight ahead is the sauna, toilet and shower

Complete set!

Love the lightings by the stairway

The master bedroom

Remote control for the jacuzzi

Jacuzzi

Switches to close and open the curtains =.=

The many sitting areas with lounge chairs in our Penthouse

I love this picture

Stairs to the 2nd floor

Dining area

Also a kitchen :O

We checked how much it would cost us if we had to pay. But my husband said that it is not available on the price list. I guess it's only for rent for long stays or by invitation? Or some rich bachelors would come here for their parties. Who knows?!

But yes, thank you so much KL Hilton!

You've given us very beautiful memories to look back. First, our wedding. And to add on to that, we have this beautiful stay to remember. :)

Off to Bali

I'm off to Bali for a family trip this Wednesday for 4 nights.

The last time I was there with my husband, it was an unforgettable trip climbing the volcano! But I don't think we will be doing that this time since my mother-in-law will be following.

Definitely, a lot of swims in the swimming pool and relaxation :)

Wohoo Singapore

Right after my trip to Perth and my husband's work trip to East Malaysia, we came back on the same day, unpacked and re-packed for our flight to Singapore the following day.

Now I know how my sister feels. It feels shitty having to pack all the time. We were both so tired. And let's not talk about jet-lag, as it happens to her when she flies back from the US.

Anyway, we went to buy some fruits at Meidiya Grocer, a Japanese grocer at Liang Court. I saw this beautiful strawberries that the store-keeper was unpacking from the box. It was so fresh! But, too expensive.

Darling said "of course lar, just flew in via Japan Airlines" while pointing at the stick on the box.

=.= seriously?!?!

Anyway, I told him not to buy.

But as usual, he woke up the next day, went to buy something else from Meidiya and came back with strawberries.

thank you i love you :)

look how beautiful! very sweet too!

In our recent trips to Singapore, we would always end up at Wild Honey. It's now our place to go whenever we're hungry and when we happen to be in Singapore. what am i talking about

We're in love with this place. It's cosy and serves very good food!

He loves the coffee.

And both of us were definitely in love with their homemade bread :)

On one of the nights, we chose to stay at Crown Plaza Changi as we had a very early flight to catch the next day.

To our surprise, our room was actually facing the airport runway!

See that Singapore Airlines plane there? Just outside our window!

The husband was very excited. He loves planes. So, whenever a plane is ready to take-off, he'll stand there observing. Or, predicting if this flight is going to the US/Japan/ etc.

I would join in the excitement, but was more excited that our room was so beautiful!!! =.=

Anyway, I spent an hour in the bathroom soaking myself in luke warm water and a magazine in my hand. Relaxing. That was all I need after so much traveling in a month.

Carpe diem.
