I wore the knitted dress mommy bought for me from Sungei Wang and the ballet-coloured stocking from Jaya Jusco's Member Sale. :P
They kept me very warm in this chilly weather.
After about a 20-minute ride in our comfy MPV, we finally arrived Disneyland Resort! :D
Last year, oh no it should be 2 years ago (in 2008), we stayed at Hollywood Hotel with the rest of the colleagues. But this year, we decided to give Disneyland Hotel a try since it boasts great architecture and beautiful rooms.
We were so happy to see this!
Beautiful, eh?
And, it was my first time looking at the maze!!!!!
Oh, congratulations to the happy couple walking down the aisle with Minnie Mouse celebrating with you :)
After checking-in, we took the transit to Lantau Island to visit the big Buddha.
Yes, I have never climbed the Batu Caves before but this I climbed two times. :S something I am not really proud of... how can I miss the Batu Caves.
OMG I look tired even before I climbed the steps up.
I tell you, it is proven that my stamina is dropping year by year. I should exercise more!! Pronto!!!! I wasn't breathing as per normal after maybe 50 steps or... ok 100 steps max.~!
Beanie saw the amazingly long line for the normal cabins, so he bought the newly introduced crystal cabins. I was a bit scared but after that I was having a good time!
Fooling around...guess who?! :D
See what I mean by the crystal cabin? Leong mama was trying to avoid looking at the bottom most of the time! But she seem OK :)
After visiting the Buddha and making good wishes/having good thoughts, we did something evil to the bank account. At least, my bank account. :S
We went to the Factory Outlet!
In 2008, we didn't manage to shop in this factory outlet due to bad timing. OK la it was closed already by the time we were there... Mickey Mouse's fault not me.
So, I told Beanie that I really wanted to go there, so this time we managed!
Look at the variety of jeans and clothing?! Row to row... maybe a combination of 3 Esprit stores in one! You know what I mean! And all with discounts!
Among other brands available in the factory outlet namely Quicksilver, Samsonite, Crocs, Folie Folie, Salvatore Feragamo etc. . . I queued to go into THIS!
Yes, Coach. Saw a few things amazingly cheap and worth to get but I decided to be nice to my bank account. :)
After lunch at the Factory Outlet, we went back to lala happpy land :)
Goofy!! I asked Beanie to lift his ear because I thought he looks cute that way. The staff taking the photo for us was so afraid I was going to pull it hard. What... I look like I have all the might to destroy something as cute as Goofy?!?!?!?! wtf.
BTW, Goofy is a dog?!?!?!?!?! What breed is he? Can someone enlightened me... I neve knew Goofy is a dog. :S ... ya I thought he's just a character Mr. Disney imagined and created. Seriously.
Goofy is a dog?!?! Or Leong Junior bluff me one... :P
Then, we saw this robot thing doing some performance of science experiments. Totally did not understand what was he up to but everybody was crowding around and laughing. I guess he's funny. =.=
We spent time playing the Buzz Lightyear shooting game and guess what!! I am a genius at this game!!!!
Ok maybe not super genius but for once Beanie asked me "WHY YOUR MARKS SO HIGH ONE!"
Muahahahahaha.............................. Ok fine~ if you're not impressed.... keep scrolling down.... :P
Mr. Sun went to rest early during winter, thus it was this dark at 6pm. The lights were already up and it was snowing. :)
Oh, we played this car thingy when we had to drive around the circuit. For once, I thought I suck at this because the car just didn't want to follow the track and kept going left and right.... kns.
After that, our legs were so tired Mama Leong thought that her legs were numbed already. We went for dinner at the Buzz Lightyear Space Restaurant!
See, they provide gloves so we don't dirty our hands. And Beanie got a little bit crazy when he came back to the table after buying food saying "keep this keep this I took so many gloves so we can use" =.=
I still have it in my room now ... I will use them when I am allowed to eat KFC again...how to eat with my throat like that. sigh.
Finally, we came to this place where It's a small world afterall, it's a small world afterall...yadaddaa yaddaayadiiiidaa..... kept playing.
We were brought through a tunnel of many little dolls representing different countries in the world. Very pretty indeed.
Then, we went to wait for the fireworks performance!!! :D
The castle lights up in beautiful shades of pink, purple and blue... :)
We were all given this special hologram when you watch the fireworks through these glasses, the lights will have special shapes in heart, snow flakes and etc.
The amount of people after the fireworks :)
Our legs were so tired but thank God we came back to this heaven!
The room is huge indeed for Hong Kong standards. Beanie knew my procedure that he asked everybody not to go into the room because I want to take a picture of every single corner. *shy*
The toilet was pretty and I love the little things they do with the decorations!
I found Sleepy on the frame of the bathroom mirror!
Oh, and how could you use these? They are too cute!!
Disney certainly did not forget about the little ones when the ordered the bathrobes :)
Then, I was so amazed by this canggih (high-tech) looking touch screen telephone in our room. It has a lot of things. From the weather, radio to bed time stories. Yes, turn it on and your kid will fall asleep listening to the bedtime story coming from the phone's loudspeaker.
Oh, Sneezy was on the tissue area too :)
The next thing I did was filling up the bathtub with hot/warm water to soak my whole body. My feet was so tired I could hear them saying "thank you" once I soaked them in for a whole 15 minutes. :P
Then, I did another tub for Beanie. He had a comfortable time resting in the tub too!
After resting for a while, Beanie, Leong Junior and I decided to check-out the hotel.
Spot the hidden Mickey!!!!!!!
Of course, I spotted Donald too :)
Generally, Disney Hotel was built with a Victorian theme. Look at the sign of the ladies toilet near the lobby. So Victorian.
Ahhh...princess mirror :)
Never seen me in glasses? Check it out.
The lobby. Isn't it pretty?
Then, we saw something NOT Disneyland, which is the ATM machine. But if you look closer, the machine wasn't functioning. Haha.
Indoor pool! I should have brought my swimming suit :)
Then, I found something the little ones, especially girls, will love.
The princess room where every morning, the little ones could come here and get dressed up as one of the Disney characters.... envy!
Oh, here's my princess shoe I bought in Tsim Sha Tsui :)
Day 6:
We spotted Mulan and I ran to take a picture with her. Beanie was saying that I was the only older ones who wanted to take that photo. So naughty la. :)
Once we got into the park at 10am SHARP, I ran (yes, I did run) to the Mickey & Minnie station.
After the 45 minutes wait and finally got to take fabulous shots with the famous couple, we went for breakfast.
Beanie and I love their curry fishballs. Yum Yum.
The chicken pie with Mickey logo.
I don't know if they trained the birds to behave this way but during breakfast, the birds were as friendly and happy like in Disney cartoon! Remember Cinderella and Snow White?
Witnessed this guy made the little pretty figurines.
Followed by the Golden Mickey Show. Beanie was truly sleepy and bored being his 3rd time watching it. Poor him.
More pictures with the castle :)
Then, we were just in time to catch the Let It Snow Parade!
Oh you know what? I found out I love the 7 dwafs more now. Ya and of course Donald Duck. You know they have something similar.......... so cuuuuttttteeeeee..... :)
Soldiers from Toy Story ... I'm waiting for Toy Story 3!
Ahhhhh...there you are :)
After the parade, we went for some shopping because it was raining!!!!!! And then it never stopped for the rest of the day can you believe it or not.
Here's us waiting for the 3D show to start... or I prefer calling it 4D since we could smell and get sprinkled with water inside. :D
And more photo-taking at Fantasyland ... I was expecting Winnie the Pooh. But Eeyore is ok :)
And we had to take a picture with Daisy alone because Donald was not around. :Z
I tell you what I have a story about Daisy. I was curious on what was underneath her Christmas clothing and also wanted to see if she was really wearing a skirt so I pulled up her blouse a little bit and she went all shy shy shy (making the body language lah of course since she cannot talk).
THEN, she went on and complaing to Leong Mama (by pointing at me) about me! So shy I tell you.
Anywayyy..........
The Chip n' Dale!
Then, after taking photos with Chip n' Dale, Beanie walked so fast I thought we were rushing back to the hotel because it was raining, but he went to line up for another round of photo-taking at the Daisy station because ....
DONALD IS BACK!
Hehe :) I love Donald because you know what.
Fine fine, both dwafs and Donald have really cute asses. There you go. Now you know why Mickey is not my favourite Disney character. :P
Among my shopping goodies from the Disney shop, I bought something what both Beanie and I love to hug with.
It's Marie (from the cartoon Aristocats) gloves!
Now I have something extra to hug since I gave Vanilla (my plush toy doggy) to Tabeah to be brought back to Germany. Just a piece of me for her to remember me by. :)
The things I bought from Disneyland.
Oh, I love these Winnie the Pooh gummies. They are good!
For our last dinner in Disneyland throughout this 7 day long vacation in Hong Kong (time flies...sigh), Beanie suggested we go to the Chinese restaurant.
Well, this is out of my expectation. I never thought they would actually shape the carrots in the mix vegetable in Mickey shapes too!
Prawns. I wonder why my body don't itch when I eat prawns in Disneyland. It's probably the happy hormons I'm having there :)
Mixture of chicken and duck.
Then, in the superbly cold weather (probably 10 degrees that night since it rained), we were very gungho we wanted to try the maze.
BUT before I could take another 10 steps in the maze, these 2 guys actually ran back and said it was too cold they couldn't stand it anymore. Ish ish... should have forced them to bring their coats.
Ok...finally we're back to Hong Kong Airport with a heavy heart. You know when you arrive at airports with a lighter heart (because you're happy) when you're on holiday...but when you're going home, you just don't wanna leave you take the last flight out. I had this feeling. It was like I belonged there. OK exagerrating.
I went to Guardian to grab some medication because my cough was really bad.
In the flight. Spot Beanie's head.
I watched Julia and Julie. It was a really nice movie. You have to watch it!
Had pasta on the way back because I didn't feel like having fish. :)
Back in the comfort of our home, I sat down and slowly took pictures of what we have bought. To remind myself that I had a good time shopping in Hong Kong and I should stop shopping in KL and buy less stuff.
Really fresh scallops!
Here are Beanie's new shoes. Spot the one on the right...I practically influenced him to buy that.
Ok here's mine:
Stuff from H&M: super love the dress and 2 skirts :)
Stuff I bought from Disney! The Minnie Mouse pencil is from Beanie :)
Blouses from Esprit...a steal!
Oh, I bought this blouse for mom from H&M but she didn't like it =.=
Jeans from Levi's while more bottoms from Esprit!
More stuff from Esprit!!!
Beanie bought this Samsonite bagpack for a REALLY good price. Less than half the price in KL :)
OK, that sums up my trip to Hong Kong. It was really a therapy for me because I came back feeling I was so over the craving of shopping. Like I'm so satisfied and just being happy to be able to be back in Hong Kong for the 3rd time in.... three years. =.=
Beanie and I agreed that we'll be back in Hong Kong some time again. We both love it there.
I love you Hong Kong! As much as I love Singapore!!!! ... ok and Malaysia cuz my family is here. and plus, food is still great in Malaysia please agree with me.
Tata
XOXO,
