The Updates and more on Shunji Matsuo!

We went to Riblees@ Sri Hartamas for Hot Mama and Her Hubby's birthday lunch.

Fun!!! Good food, of course :)

Love how he did the corn for me :)

The birthday newly-weds.

Love this picture :)

The best friend was in town.

:)

This time around, we decided to spend some girly time at the salon.

Now, if you're following Princess Audrey closely, you'll notice that she goes to Shunji Matsuo@ Midvalley.

Both of us decided to give it a try!

So, we decided to be a bit kiasu this time by making an appointment a week in advance for Raymond, the stylist :)

Someone is happy :)

I was, actually, taking a picture of both of us when I realized she turned her head not noticing it!

-____-

So, Raymond came along and he advised us on the styles we would like to explore that day.

I did a scalp treatment and it was seriously, superb!

I believe this is like the best place to chill out on a Saturday morning. It's quiet. Nice music. Drinks served. Someone pampering your hair. Cosy chair.

What is not to like???

As Raymond was cutting my hair, we chatted a little bit about the hair-styling industry, which according to Raymond, is getting very challenging.

Today, hair-stylist is considered a profession than just a job someone would opt for when they drop-out from school.

If you look at the market, it is growing incredibly. With the young energy graduating from various hair-styling academies with double degrees and other qualifications, one has got to keep up with the pace!

Raymond noted something that I totally agreed upon. He talked about how students nowadays studied something just to make their parents happy, which is good. But at the end of the day, after graduating, jumping back into something they like better/see themselves doing.

Raymond graduated with a Bachelors in Marketing but when he spent a few months sitting in the office, decided to quit the job and explore something he love better - hair styling.

He said he started cutting the mane as his hobby... almost immediately, I cut in and said "but you turn out good, don't you?"

He smiled and sheepishly said "amazingly, yes."

As I always say, you'll turn out good when doing something you really believe and have strong passion about. You always do.

You can find him on his Facebook fan page as well as his blog. Being a mass communication lecturer, I asked him about the impact of digital media being the trend in advertising today on his business.

He said that one has to keep up to the trend and try to blend in, or you'll lose out. Thus, he finds himself trying to blog as well as updating his fan page with more photos of his work.

Enough said, check out Raymond and also his fan page.

Do you love our haircuts?? :)

Both of us shopped around Midvalley in Coach. But decided to just get it from the US, since it's a lot cheaper there.

This is a shot at Sunway Pyramid, enjoying our Japanese inspired ice-cream. Not too bad :)

On Sunday, we went to Jalan Telawi in Bangsar to pamper ourselves. Not too bad. I got a pair of shoes from Purple Dotz.

And how can you not find anything pretty from Baci????

Check out their links from my shopping links on the left panel!

We had late lunch in Alexis because I was craving for Pavlova.

As I was walking into the shop, immediately I spotted that there was one piece of Pavlova left!

So after sitting down, I put up my hand, trying to attract the attention of the waiters to take my order. However, NO ONE saw me.

Pei then tried to wave as well. Still, NO ONE saw us!

Finally when they saw us, they told me that the last Pavlova cake was already ordered by another customer.

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what is an Alexis dining experience without my Pavlova cake?!

I decided not to take it easily, took up my hand again to re-confirm that the last Pavlova cake was already taken up and no new Pavlova cakes are coming in.

The answer was still: NO.

FML

Anyway, we only had the Tiramisu, which was still delicious.

This is what a blogger would do!

Take pictures lah, not eat. :P

BTW, don't order this unless you're a big fan of very cheesy food.

We went to Coffee Bean to chill while waiting for TWO HOURS for our dear friend. -___-

So you say, yes, I have really good patience.

That night, we went for a teppantyaki cum steamboat dinner in Kepong.

It was buffet style. Food was OK but too smokey and oily floors, which put me off a little bit.

The other day, the Northumbria University panel came. It was a very good exposure for me. Learned a lot!

What a nice way to end the post with a cute cookie monster cupcake from Shiela :)

Thank you, I love it.

XOXO,
