I had a wonderful New Year's eve. Darling and I went to Genting Highlands. The traffic was very good, no jam at all. The weather? Perfect. But it was drizzling a little bit.
After getting ourselves a parking space, Darling suggested Old Town Kopitiam almost immediately. I totally agree as I was feeling a little hungry.
Since Darling told me that we won't be watching Leo Ku's concert as he couldn't get any from the media people. But being able to be there to witness the fireworks and countdown would be just as nice, I thought to myself.
I simply asked Darling, "So, would Harry still be coming?"
Harry and his wife were also interested in watching Leo Ku's concert and have also tried getting the concert tickets for us.
Darling smiled and said "Why would he still be coming? If we don't get to watch the concert, so does he."
And suddenly, Harry and his wife turned up in front of us!
He then passed an envelope to Darling.
Darling asked "So what is this?"
"The concert ticket lah!" said Harry.
Darling laughed and passed it to me.

He did it to me once when it was Celine Dion's concert. :)
So we went to Leo Ku's concert.
I do not know who is she. She was too nervous that she sang out of tune a couple of times.
He sang his nice songs. Some which I do not know. Some which I have heard before. Some which I love. It was very nice.
Oh, before I forgot, I met up with my girlfriends and their boyfriends too. They were also at the concert.
After the concert, we went to the opening area outside Resort Hotel to wait for the countdown to start.

We envied people who were partying at the Presidential Suite of Genting Hotel while looking down to us little people at the ground floor. Darling said the the Presidential Suite is only open for booking by invitation and Platinum Card Members only. When is my turn?
We took a few pictures and then the MC started counting down from 10 seconds already! Moments spent through the year 2008 flashed through my mind as I was thinking what a fulfilling year it has been.
The firework was truly amazing. They had so many colours and designs. Since the weather up in Genting Highlands was cold, we didn't sweat as we countdown this time around. What more, nobody was squeezing against each other. We had so much room around us.
After the fireworks, we proceeded to somewhere warmer for drinks. And maybe, supper. So we went to the Latte Caffe in the casino as they serve really nice food and drinks are free. :)
We catched up with one another while looking at the terrible jam happening below. At 2am, we proceeded back home. The traffic wasn't so bad.
It was a great night with great company. It was a great year 2008.
Remember to write 2009 whenever you sign a date. :)
