Ouch!

I went to visit the doctor today.

My plaster on my wound kept coming off because my hand kept contacting water ... it was such a trouble. And painful.

So, with all my will, I dragged and persuaded myself to go visit the doctor. I hate visiting the doctors. I just have phobia doing so... because most of the time, it is something going wrong.

I asked my colleague to accompany me to the panel clinic. She was so sweet, she agreed and took her favourite magazine along just in case the que would be long.

And yes, she was correct. We waited for an hour before it was my turn.

I told the doctor how I hurt myself and when she saw my wound, her eyes went a little big bigger. Like in shock. She scared me a little. She then told me that I should have visited her as soon as I got that deep cut because it is already infected.

INFECTED?!

She then continued to say that she would have given me a tetanus jab but it is too late now, so she would have to clean it.

Ok after the finished her sentence, all sorts of images and doctor-tools relating to cleaning the wound came into mind. I was really terrified.

I was even more scared when I saw her carrying out a huge tray, with all sorts of utensils and big stack of cotton from the other room.

I was going to ask her if it would hurt. But I tried to calm myself down.

Then, she put on some anti-septic, cleaned my wound while peeling off a little bit of the infected areas.

That is when it really hurts!!! :(

Then, she put on some medicine and bandage it really well. She asked me to take off the bandage tomorrow because the wound needs to breath.

So, my thumb is a little bit bigger in size now with the bandage. Doesn't feel comfortable at all. Oh well.

Since doctor told me that I should keep the wound as dry as possible today, I found out that I could wash and even bathe with 1 hand.

Something new I just knew about myself.

Hmm, interesting!

XOXO,
