So, I tried asking her for other options and she just made me come out with a few options for her to choose. I did!
Oh, I did it efficiently by sending her five options in a power point presentation. Every slide contains pictures, specialty, budget & theme of the restaurant. She was so surprised to see the array of restaurant I have picked out that she called me immediately to say that she didn't know which to choose. Again!
I asked her to think about it and reply by the end of the week.
Anyway, in the end, Wendy decided to have her birthday dinner at Cafe WIP in Bangsar Shopping Centre. Yes, the place where Canny Ong was last seen. :S
I made a phone reservation and booked for 12 people.
Both Darling and I were a little late for the dinner due to some domestic issues we had to tend to at home.
I fell in love with the restaurant immediately! But Darling said we cannot dine here a lot of time because the budget was on the high side. :P
I was seated next to Beekuan aka MayJune...ain't she gorgeous as always?
Here's both of us :)
Everyone was already starving so DamDam and I hurried through the array of food they serve in the menu(s).
After chatting for a while, our food was served. They didn't take a long time, which is good because JC kept whining that she was very hungry. *hungry people are grumpy people*
Josh ordered the sandwich
Catherine ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu
I ordered the Chicken Espetada (for 2 person)
Picture time!!!!!
Everybody was busy looking at pictures while I slipped to the back of the counter to whisper a surprise birthday dessert for the birthday girl.
Oh, we all fell in love with YiTeng's Fujifilem InStax
The birthday girl and I took a pictures :)
Then, DamDam told me that the birthday thingy is ready while pointing to the waiter behind our table.
Look at how he stand and you'll see he was trying very hard to hide the birthday cake from being seen by the birthday girl.
Somehow......................
He appeared behind Wendy! Giving her a little bit of surprise. Actually, it's nothing new so I guess she had seen this coming.
She looks happy :)
A picture of only us girls, as always :)
The birthday cake was a little tad too rich.
The waiter came with a camera to capture our group pictures. But Josh was so nice, he went towards him, thinking it was one of our cameras, told the waiter that "it's okay, we'll handle it ourselves".... but the camera wasn't ours!!!!!!
After a while, the same waiter came back with a printed picture framed up sponsored by Moet.
Wendy surely went back with a lot of moments to remember. I hope it is yet another special day for her.
I love throwing the best little parties for people. No matter if it's going to be a bash or not, we always remember moments in our lives.
Quoting from my late grandfather... life is all about remembering moments, so do it right.
XOXO,
