CNY Celebration Part 2

The Chinese New Year celebration went on during the second week of CNY week! Yikes!

We did some visiting to our friends' place. We went to Audrey's place as well!

OK OK, part of the reason was because of Kayly (Aud's daughter). Joking!!!

Isn't she cute??? :)

I also had dinner with my ex-colleagues. We had so much fun catching up with each other at Tenji @ SoHo Mont Kiara.

And of all places, we sat in front of the counter where they serve the appetizers!

So, oysters!!!!!!!!

Yes, I ate all of them. Yikes!

These are the sushi(s) I got for my second round of serving.

Oh yeah, our friend Christopher came back from London and we had our jokes about him. :P

After that, I skipped all the other courses and went straight to ... ... ...

...

...

...

Yes, the chocolate fondue.

It was SO YUMMY!

That's (clockwise) Ong, Me and Audrey in the picture below:

After that, we took a ride down under...

NO, we didn't suddenly drive to the airport and take the next flight to Australia.

Hey, it would be so challenging and fun!

BUT NO, it'll be damn expensive and crazy. You think we don't have to work is it?

...

...

...

Yeah, we went to Singapore. :)

It was nearly a year since we visited my sister and relatives in the Lion City. Oh Singapore feels like home every time I'm there.

Why am I not born a Singaporean or something?!?!?!

Anyway ...

We stopped by Seremban, bought the BBQ crab and some Siew Pao, and arrived Singapore in the evening.

The crab was soooooo yummy I tell you.

Oh, we picked up my cousin from my aunt's place in Dover, and drove straight to my sister's place, picked her up and went back to my youngest aunt's place in Bedok after dinner.

AND, the little cried once we stepped into the house. -______-

Yea, she refused to come near to us and even my cousin for the rest of the night!

What is wrong ?!?!?!?!

Anyway, after I gave her the iPhone, she was my really good friend. -_____-

Kids nowadays. Cis.

Oh we spent the next morning visiting a doctor (long story) and then more shopping... before meeting up Pei (really rush!) and more shopping for a very good reason (not me!) and then I had to missed visiting Bambz in Clementi because my aunty called us already.

Apparently, Bambz is right. Whenever we're in Orchard Road, we'll face a hard time getting ourselves out from there. -_____-

Oh Oh, I found something new about Singapore.

There could have been SO MANY more pictures of these.

Who said Singapore is a litter-free country, eh?!?! Not so perfect afterall.

But anyway, no offense, I still love Singapore. :)

Ah, let's face it. It's A LOT cleaner (in terms of litter) than here.

Oh, that's the unfinished and still developing project of the casino and the Genting Resort Hotel.

We went to Marina Square, saw my sister's friend in Army uniform and I was pointing at him while telling Beanie that "Hey! You see! That person in an army uniform eating at the sushi bar alone right after booking out! He must have missed sushi eh?!?!"

Then, I saw my sister walking towards him and "Hey! What are you doing here? Where's your wife?!" (something like that)

-___________-

Swear. To. God.

Luckily I wasn't saying out loud. Or, I guess Beanie didn't really hear it as well. *comforting self*

It would have been so embarrassing!

why is my life full of embarrassing moments. geez.

Anyway, my sister's friend was at Marina Square for the Armed Forces Career Experience Roadshow.

After shopping, we went to Billy Bombers. One of my favourite dining place in Singapore. :P

This is the clam chowder which raised my eye-brows at first. Do you wanna know why?

Because at first, when my cousin and I asked about the set lunch, she said the "soup of the day" is lamb chowder.

So, I nodded my head but at the same time thought to myself that a LAMB CHOWDER would be so wierd and wrong.

OK I don't know much about food but have you heard of a lamb chowder before?!?!?!

Anyway, turn out that it is clam chowder.

Thankfully it is!!!

Those are our drinks. Billy Bomber is famous for their rootbeers and flavoured shakes too!

Those are our main course. :)

And, the one below is like the best ice-cream ever! OK, the best FREE ice-cream ever!

Because it tasted so so so good. And it's free.

Hehe!!

We went to Orchard Road for shopping and then I had to skipped our itinerary to visit Bambz' place in Clementi because my aunt called already.

OK, I think I've repeated this for the second time. *guilt*

I think I'm repeating also because of the "teacher syndrome" you know, like you have to repeat yourself quite a lot of times from day to day. HAHA

You don't get the joke? Nevehmind. HHMPH.

We arrived Dover and was just in time to help my aunt unwrap some of the dishes she ordered from the restaurant down the road.

And my aunt's simple yee sang recipe worked! :P

This is all of us gathered in Singapore. :)

She was still a little bit apprehensive of coming near us but was getting better.

How adorable eh? :)

After dinner, we went to West Coast Park for a stroll.

See, one of the reasons I love about Singapore. Well-maintained parks with ample space for children to run!

Well, that ends my CNY celebration.

Let's look forward to the rest of the year! :)

XOXO,
theRascal
